Safari za harakaharaka za treni za Kigoma zaanza


THE Tanzania Railway Limited was yesterday launched an addition passenger train to Kigoma route.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Infrastructure, Eng Omar Chambo said that the additional passenger train has got 16 coaches whereas he explained that this is the effort made by TRL to make sure that it improved its services.

He said that now central railway line will have three routes a week and he added that in August this year the central railway line will have six routes a week and that TRL is aimed to easing transport problems on the central line.

Eng. Chambo said that TRL has ordered 23 coaches from India which are expected to reach in the country early in august this year the situation that will develop the central railway line routes.

He added that when the coaches arrived in the country that problem of passenger transportation within TRL will be finished since there could be enough coaches for passengers.

Meanwhile Eng. Chambo said that Tanga to Dar es Salaam railway has already started its route last month whereby cargos like cement are transported to Dar es Salaam via Tanga railway and this is the results of arrival of 25 cargo engines.
