On behalf of the family and Tanzanians living in Houston, I sadly announce the death of our brother Felix Chambi (aka Felix Makene) pictured above.
Felix passed away on Thursday morning (24/1/08) after having a stroke on Monday night (21/1/08). Felix leaves behind his wife Maryam and young son Baraka. Condolences can be offered to Felix’s family at their home on8618 Rose Garden, Houston, TX, 77083.

The community of Tanzanians living in Houston is making plans to transport Felix from Houston to Tanzania next week.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
As we all know, the costs of transporting Felix’s body from Houston to Tanzania will be high.We have estimated the total cost of this process to be $22,400. While any amount you donate will be greatly appreciated, we are recommending that Tanzanians living in Houston contribute around $100 each.
The Tanzanian Community in Houston will conduct a fund raiser on Saturday (1/26/08).
The fundraiser will begin at 4pm and will be held at:Safari Party Hall (Kwa Inno) 8951 Bissonnett, Houston TX 77036. Like always, men should bring drinks and women food to the fundraiser. Ladies can get in touch with Nuru Mazola and gentlemen with Alex Tibaigana for further information on our needs.
If all goes well, we plan to pay our last respects to Felix on Sunday (1/27/08).
