On April 17, 2025, in Ouagadougou, the Executive Director of Muhimbili National Hospital, Prof. Mohamed Janabi @ProfJanabi, along with the Tanzanian Ambassador to Burkina Faso based in Nigeria, H.E. Selestine Kakere and the Director of Preventive Services in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ntuli Kapologwe @tuserod engaged in bilateral discussions with a delegation from Burkina Faso. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for health cooperation between Tanzania and Burkina Faso.
This conversation took place during the visit of H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, the Special Envoy of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan to the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
The primary focus of the discussions was the establishment of a cardiac facility in Burkina Faso, taking a model of the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute, which Prof. Janabi was a founder.
