East African artists for Nairobi Concert

Word in town is that there will be a mega concert in Nairobi on 6th December 2008, during which the curtain will be pulled off a fresh and new movement for the young folks which is causing a huge buzz in Nairobi. We have established that the movement known as Generation Jipange has attracted the interest of top performers from Uganda and Tanzania.

Generation Jipange, is the latest craze in town, a new culture for the youth, that youngsters are positioning themselves to be part of this phenomenon which promises to change their lives and will redefine the youths lifestyle as we know it today.

This one of a kind music concert will be held in Nairobi at Uhuru Gardens, Langata road. The concert kicks off at 9 am till 6pm and it is FREE FOR ALL. No gate charges.

Some of the local Kenyan artists who will be performing at the concert include Mejja, Jimwat, Maddtraxx, award winning Juacali, MTV Africa Music Awards winner Wahu, Wyre, Big Pin, and recent Channel O music awards nominees Nameless and Amani, M.O.G., Sarakasi and Sina X..

Tanzania will be represented by TMK Wanaume, THT Dance Group and Professor J, while the eccentric Bebe Cool will be in Nairobi to share the stage wtih Klear Kut also from Uganda.

We have confirmed that the top cream of Nairobi’s hottest DJ’s are not missing this one. They will be playing in the all day long music fest among them M.O.B., HomeBoyz, CodeRED, Black Supremacy and the Dohty Family

To keep the concert rocking and kicking all day long and to tell you more about the Jipange, MCs Big Tedd, Porgie, KJ, Kriss Darling and Eve D'Souza will take turns at the microphone to liven up the day as the coolest guys join Generation Jipange.
