Ninaugua kuongezeka uzito, nina kilo 300 sasa


UKISTAAJABU ya Musa, utayaona ya Firauni. Mambo mengine ni kama hadithi, lakini hii ni habari ya kweli, kwamba yupo mtu mwenye uzito wa Kilo 300 na zaidi, uzito unaoongezeka kila kukicha na kusababishi maumivu makali kwa mtu huyo.
Ni Tabu Kasidi mama wa makamo, mwenye umri wa miaka 51, mkazi wa Tabata ambaye amejikuta akiongezeka uzito hadi kufikia hatua hiyo bila kujua chanzo cha hali hiyo. Mbaya zaidi ni kuwa uzito huo unaambatana na maumivu makali yanayotishia kukatisha maisha yake.
“Nikisikia maadhimisho ya kifo cha Nyerere na mimi nahesabu mwaka mwingine wa kukaa chini na maumivu makali, imekuwa sehemu ya maisha yangu kwani miaka 11 sasa nimeshindwa kupata ufumbuzi wa tatizo hili” anasema mama huyu akimaanisha kuwa ameanza kupata matatizo hayo kipindi kile Nyerere alipokufa.
Kasidi anasema tatizo hilo lilianza kama jambo la kawaida ambapo alianza kupata maumivu makali sehemu za kiuno na alikuwa akihisi kuvutwa na kitu kiasi cha kulazimika kukaa chini au hata kulala bila kujali mahali alipokuwa.
“Nakumbuka siku moja maumivu yalinipata nikiwa eneo la tabata relini, ambapo nililazimika kukaa chini katikati ya reli hali iliyosababisha wasamaria wema waje kunisogeza pembeni na kuniuliza sababu, lakini niliwaambia waniache kwa muda maumivu yatapungua na nitaweza kuendelea na safari yangu” anasema.
Anasema, wakati huo uzito haukuwa mkubwa sana Alikuwa na kilo 80 tu hali iliyomuwezesha kutembea kwa miguu yake na kuzunguka sehemu mbalimbali, huku akiendelea na biashara zake ndogondogo za kupika chapati, maandazi ili kuweza kujipatia riziki. Imeandikwa na Joyce Mmasi.
