Five Tanzanian youths and one secondary school teacher before they departed for the United States for a four-week Youth Leadership Exchange Program (March 27 - April 21). The students will live with local hosts' families in Washington D.C. and Denver, Colorado and interact with U.S. teenagers, grassroots activists and community organizations. The American people are sponsoring this program to give Tanzanian students an opportunity to learn more about the rights and responsibilities of all citizens in a democracy. This is the second group of Tanzanian youth to participate in the Youth Leadership Exchange Program in the past six months.
